For Easy communication

Social networking sites for me are very helpful especially that i'm far away from my parents, sisters, and other loved ones. With Face book I can just communicate with them, see them in video chat in just how many clicks. You can send them messages as much as you can anytime, anywhere.

With the advent of technologies like internet, broadband and live streaming has made tremendous strides influencing the lives of every single individual. Recent ones such as the launch of 3G services in our country has revolutionised the way people connect with one another. It is a much smarter and faster means to communicate among professionals from varied dialects. It has led to an era of modernisation among masses!. Connectivity offers a wide range of possibilities. With the help of these social networks, one can share views, ideas, debate and arrive at conclusions. To sum up i would like to say that life would be beyond imagination without these social networks!

Shouldn't be banned, but would you still take the risk?

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and Skype! It is the generation of the Internet and this site are ruling over it, but does that mean that they are good? Social media sites are very popular in this generation and almost every child; teen and even adult has them but being on a social networking site isnt always good. First off, what is a social networking site? Well a social networking site is a website where you can socialize with other people all around the world or even people in your hometown it is organized by a group of people who specialize in the area of technology, but sometimes any group of people whether they are specialized or not could make one.

An example of this would be, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and MySpace. Even some companies/businesses use these sites to stay in contact with each other. Social Networking sites are said to make things easier because you are able to talk to people from different areas. As soon as you add your family and friends it will be easy to share videos and pictures. Many people think of social media sites as all fun and games but these sites actually cause very serious problems.

Social media sites cause more harm than good because it causes lack of activity, it gives people access to your personal information and many people get cyber bullyed on social media sites.

No, social networking sites are not helping.
Yes, they are the fastest way to spread information but are they really helping us? Do we really need all of our computers and iPhones and other gadgets to keep us updated? What happened to using TV and newspapers and radios? Besides not everything on the internet is true. Lots of false news and information are put on websites and have given some people a very hard time.

Social networking sites are also a huge waste of time! In June, 2012 over 121 billion minutes were spent on social networking sites! All these minutes used on liking someone's photo could be used to get outside and enjoy the wonderful country that we live in. Everyone is saying that obesity is a problem but I think if people actually got out of their computer chair and did something with their life we wouldn't have this problem. I therefore believe that social networking sites are not benefiting us and our way of life.

Helpful to us many ways
Although we waste our time in chatting, we are totally updated with the present news which were happening around us. So, don't see social networking as threats but just as the opportunities where we can interact with the people globally. But we should be cautious when we are going to share our personal information. That would affect our career if something goes public.

What Happened to quality relationships?

While social networking sites can aid to online relationships, real life relationships can become weak or even nonexistent. While you?re cooped up in your room on your laptop, you are spending less time with real life and legitimate relationships and spending more time on a false friendship with someone online. Whatever happened to a good old phone call or meet up? Is this really where my generation is headed? We are in trouble.

Social media is a good thing or a bad thing?

That is the most frequently asked question today. Well, there are always two sides of everything; it depends on your perspective on how you perceive it. The same goes for social media, most people admire it as a revolutionary invention and some seem to take it as a negative impact on the society.

We have complied some of the positive and negative opinions people express for social networks:

Positive Effects:

1. Friends and Relations:

Social networks started as a place to connect with your friends in an easy an convenient way. Truly speaking, many of you might have found your old pals from school or college who were out of touch due to one reason or other, well I would say I have and I thank social networks for this. Social networks has provided us the opportunity to connect with people and build better relationships with friends with whom we are unable to meet personally, and let them know about our life and take input about their lives and events happening with them.

2. Reducing Communication Barriers:

With social networks we are able to communicate our thoughts and perceptions over different topics with a large number of audiences, and raise our voice. The sharing feature available on the social networks makes your opinion about any topic reach huge number of people (even to those who are not on your friends list). We have the option to make groups with people who are like minded and share the related news with them and ask for their opinion or input about the topic. Simply there are a number of options available for us to communicate with others on these social networks.

3. Opportunities for Businesses:

Social networks have become a crucial part of many of us. We don?t even notice this but as soon as we open our desktops or laptops to access the web, we sub-consciously open our favorite social network just to see about the updates received. Businesses have noticed the value of social networks in our life, and they are using different techniques to promote their products. There are a number of customized applications being made on the social platforms, whose main purpose is to promote the product or brand. As social marketing is cost effective and brands have a huge audience, they are shifting more towards social marketing.

Negative Effects:

1. Leads to Addiction:

Many studies have shown that the extensive use of social media can actually cause addiction to the users. Throughout their day, they feel to post something on their pages or check others posts as it has become an important part of our life.

2. Lead to Isolation:

Extreme usage of social media has reduced the level of human interaction. Because of social networks the interaction with other people has become effortless and people have isolated their lives behind their online identities. Face to face communication and meetings has been reduced and many of us have lost the flavour and charm to be together under one roof.

3. Affecting Productivity:

Mostly businesses use social media to find and communicate with clients. But it is a great distraction to employees, who may show more interest in what their friends are posting than in their work tasks. Wired.com posted two studies which demonstrated damage to productivity caused by social networking. Nucleus Research reported that Facebook shaves 1.5% off office productivity while Morse claimed that British companies lost 2.2 billion a year to the social phenomenon. New technology products have become available that allow social networks to be blocked, but their effectiveness remains spotty.

Conclusion:

I have mentioned a few positive and negative points of social media, but it doesn?t explain that social media is good or a bad thing. It stands somewhere in between.

I also want to give my mind on this topic.

We are having many social networking sites like fb, twitter, linkedIn etc.

And we all are connected to the world by these sites.

It hardly matters to us whether we know them or not. We just want to spend our time with them, as in the present age we hardly have true friends, relatives.

So we find an alternative to share our views, that is social network.

And even if some of us is having them, than we just neglect them becoz of our daily routine work.

We hardly get time to spend with them. And the result is we have to live with the FAKE RELATIONS, FAKE PEOPLE WITH THEIR FAKE IDENTITY.

And somewhere or the other our attitude does matters, what we accept or not. These social activities lure us and at the end we just become so much addicted to it and have no means to live our life in a better way.
Frustration, depression becomes our partners.
Because we are just missing the real essence of life. And that comes by spending time with your KNOWN NEAR DEAR ONES.
And I am not denying the fact that it is having lots of advantages, but they come with a cost we pay for disadvantages.

Hi friends!

In my opinion no doubt social networking becomes the most powerful and fast form of media for communication today. Social networking like Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, whatsapp, and many more uses among more than billion of people today. According to the survey report 2013 youth spend more than 2 hr on social networking sites. As in the digital age social networking is used for meeting new friends, old friends, connecting with family members globally, sharing ideas, photos. Businessman or woman can use social networking for advertising new product and promoting their services. It is very useful for musician to interact their fans. Apart from these benefits these social networking are becoming most advance form of job search portals. Job seeker can easily search job from a single platform. Now a days it becomes a part of social campaign for corruption, politic, national movements.

Apart from above advantages, definitely every technology has a bright side as well as well dark side too. So, yes it has negative impact on society too. If we use it in excessive than definitely it becomes a time killer for children. It creates account hacking easily for hackers.

So its up to us how we use the technology. !

In my opinion , today's era is all about technology like Internet...we have many social n/wing sites like..orkut, facebook, Twitter....etc. As the coin has 2 sides , similarly I will say Social networking sites provide various positive things as well as negative things ....like u can search any of your friend ....u can share your pictures, videos with your friends......u can download any required document available in sites....but instead of it...today many of users are misusing it...I would like to justify this by giving an example...suppose any person captures a photo or a video of another person that may be in compromising position....and upload it...then by this the future of that particular person ll b spoiled...We see today school students r using social networking sites as a drug...they cant live without knowing any updates... And one point i would like to add.....every profile in fb or twittr is not a real one...its generally a fake one...So in my View ...every1 should use these n/wing sites up to a particular limit....U should not lose your concentration from studies with it because its only a way of passing time...n please don?t share too much about yourself.
